Artist: Said The Whale, Album: Islands Disappear, Song: Camilo (The Magician)

"Camilo, that's where you come in my friend."  Said the Whale are a Vancouver rock band that formed in 2007.  The two founding members of the band are Ben Worchester and Tyler Bancroft.  They released their debut EP, entitled, Taking Abalonia and then added 7 new tracks for re-release in 2008 as Howe Sounds/Taking Abalonia.  They have toured Canada and have endured some line up changes in recent years as well.   The band now includes members, Nathan Shaw, Spencer Schoening and Jaycelyn Brown.  They released their sophomore album, Islands Disappear, in 2009 and are signed to Hidden Pony Records.  That album includes this great track, Camilo (The Magician).  The band continues to tour the country and has just recently returned from their first tour of the U.K..  They also played some shows in the U.S. this year.  The band also won the Juno for New Group Of The Year in 2011.  They are currently back in the studio recording their third release and seem to be playing shows locally for the time being.  You can follow them at http://saidthewhalenews.tumblr.com/.  You can purchase the album, Islands Disappear, on Itunes.  You can watch the video for the song, Camilo (The Magician), on You Tube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ar0bmGshhTs).  Thanks for reading and enjoy!
