Artist: Eric Eggleston & The Flavour Vendors, Album: Passin' Through, Song: Licking My Fingers

"What's the point in being proud when you can be naked and loud."  Eric Eggleston is a singer songwriter from Ottawa.  He released his debut disc with back up band, The Flavour Vendors, in 2002, entitled, Passin' Through.  Licking My Fingers is a catchy pop tune that reminds me a bit of OAR and Brendan Benson.  He's toured the province inside out as a soloist, duo as well as with a full band.  Following this release, he has re-incarnated himself as the Eric Eggleston Band, Harpoon and most recently, The Draculas.  His latest band, The Draculas, just released their first EP last year and it is available on Itunes.  They've toured parts of the U.S. and Europe and even played for Elton John at one of his after parties.  You can follow them at http://www.thedraculas.com/.  As for Eric's material before the Draculas.  Some of it is available on Itunes, but this particular album, Passin' Through, isn't.  At the time of this blog, there were copies trading on Ebay, Discogs and Amazon between $20 and $30.  You can hear the song, Licking My Fingers, on You Tube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G9BvIT_7zpA&feature=channel_video_title).  Thanks for reading and enjoy!
