Artist: Staggered Crossing, Album: Staggered Crossing, Song: Further Again
"Let me in, let me out, let me shake it all about." Staggered Crossing were a rock band from Toronto that formed in 1996. They became fixtures on the local club scene, building up a strong following which attracted Warner Music in 1999. The band had already released some indie EP's and live recordings up until this point. In 2001, they released their major label self-titled debut and hit the road touring Canada with bands like Midnight Oil and Nickelback. The song, Further Again, is the lead off track on the album and was the first single released. It was a Top 10 hit on the Canadian Rock Music Charts. Unfortunately though, sales were sluggish and they were dropped from Warner. That didn't deter them though. They started their own label called Bent Penny Records and would go on to release two more albums before calling it quits in 2007. Today the band still re-unites to perform the odd show around town. You can follow them at http://www.myspace.com/staggeredcrossing. You can purchase their self-titled debut on Itunes. You can hear the song, Further Again, on You Tube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5NmLpmW-XWc). Thanks for reading and enjoy!
