Artist: The Matadors, Album: The Devil's Music, Song: Creeping Demon

"I always finish what I start yeah.  I swear your mom thinks I'm retarded."  A song about Zombie love by rockabilly heavyweights, The Matadors.  The band is from London, Ontario and this song is from their 2006 release, The Devil's Music.  The band's founder and leader, Hooch Parkins, would prefer that their music be classified as Horrorbilly.  The band has some wild claims about selling their soul to the devil and having membership in the Luciferian Brotherhood of Baphomet. Check out http://www.thematadors.net/ for an entertaining read and to follow the band's latest tour dates.  Getting back to the song at hand.  The band just rocks and they remind me a lot of Danzig (the song, Mother, in particular).  You could also describe the sound as Elvis on crack.  Unfortunately, rockabilly isn't a heavily marketed genre of music but this band and the song is definitely worth checking out.  The band continues to release and record new music.  This album is available on Itunes and Amazon.  You can watch the video for the song, Creeping Demon, on You Tube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bvG_t_egMrw).  Thanks for reading and enjoy!
