"I caught an angel in my pocket. I caught an angel, she's forever mine." One To One were a band out of Ottawa that released their debut album, Forward Your Emotions, in 1985. They were vocalist Louise Reny and multi-instrumentalist Leslie Howe. One To One were all over AM all hit radio with numerous singles in Canada. Angel In My Pocket wasn't their highest charting Canadian single but it was the only song from the album to crack the American Billboard Hot 100. They were signed to a British label, Bonaire, for this album and recorded it in West Germany. Both shared the songwriting duties while Howe also produced the album. They would switch labels to A&M in the early nineties and change their name to One 2 One. In total, the band released 3 albums and numerous Top 40 Canadian singles. After a brief hiatus in the nineties, they returned and collaborated once again on two separate projects. The first was a band called Sal's Birdland and the second was Artificial Joy Club. The One To One album, Forward Your Emotions, was re-released by Wounded Bird Records out of New York this past year. It is currently available at Amazon.com. You can watch the music video for Angel In My Pocket on You Tube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9uXIU6bn8Hk). As always, you can hear this song as well as others that I blog about each day on Live 365 (http://www.live365.com/stations/raisedoncndnradio). Thanks for reading and enjoy!
