"Drinking don't taste good and dancing doesn't sound like fun. The last thing I need is to find someone. So I put away my shirt and I put away my shoes. I'd rather have nothing than have something to lose." David Myles is a singer songwriter from New Brunswick. David grew up with music but actually didn't begin composing as a solo artist until he was in his twenties. His first release was in 2005 and to date, he has 6 releases. He is well known in the Maritimes and over the last couple of years, has won numerous regional awards. He has also won international awards for his songwriting. I'm actually shocked that such a profound artist hasn't been nominated for a Juno yet. Time Turn Off was his album from 2010. Out Of Love is a beautiful song that shows how adept he is at songwriting let alone composing. You can check out the video for the song on You Tube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rMwVqaBAh9w). David just released his new album, Into The Sun, last month and it is very good. He even collaborates with hip hop artist, Classified, on one track. David is also playing shows this month in Ontario with stops in St. Catharines, Toronto and Orillia. He is also part of the Vinyl Cafe tour of the Maritimes with Stuart McLean. You can keep tabs on him at http://davidmyles.com/. You can purchase the album, Time Turn Off, from Itunes. Thanks for reading and enjoy!
