Artist: Fathead, Album: Where's Your Head At?, Song: Walk Backwards

"Double Double This This.  Double Double That That.  Double This Double That.  Double Double This That!"  Fathead are a 5pc blues band from Toronto.  They've been around the scene for decades and have an early affiliation with Ronnie Hawkins.  Their lead singer, John Mays, was raised in Georgia.  All of their members are accomplished musicians who have shared stages with the likes of James Brown, Etta James, John Lee Hooker, Paul Butterfield and members of the The Band.  These guys are tight and after one listen to the song, Walk Backwards, from their 2000 release, Where's Your Head At?, you'll know why.  This song reminds me of New Orleans style funk like the Meters.  The groove is unstoppable.  The band has released 7 albums to date and the most recent was this year.  They are also Juno award winners and are signed to Electro-Fi Records.  They tour regularly and you can likely find them playing within Ontario over the next two months.  You can follow the band at http://www.fathead.biz/.  The album, Where's Your Head At?, is available on Itunes and from Amazon.com.  You can hear the song, Walk Backwards, on You Tube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZYCWq3GMt9E).  As always, you can hear this song as well as others that I blog about each day on Live 365 (http://www.live365.com/stations/raisedoncndnradio).  Thanks for reading and enjoy!
