Artist: Catherine MacLellan, Album: Dark Dream Midnight, Song: House Of Love

"Sometimes I feel like we are both here together.  Happy to be but then a change in the weather.  Let's get inside where we both can feel better.  In this house of love."  Catherine MacLellan is a singer songwriter from P.E.I.  After playing in bands regionally, she released her solo debut, Dark Dream Midnight, in 2004 independently.  She has just released her third album this year entitled, Water in the Ground.  House of Love is a beautiful track about relationships and the fears of letting go or holding on too long from her debut.  Her songwriting is genius but perhaps it's in the genes.  Her late father, Gene MacLellan, penned some of Canada's biggest hits like Anne Murray's Snowbird and Ocean's Put Your Hand In The Hand.  Catherine's vocals are also very strong.  On this particular track she reminds me a bit of Natalie Merchant.  The song is a delicate acoustic treasure.  Thankfully, it is no longer hard to find!    True North Records has recently released it as an additional CD packaged along with her new release, Water In The Ground.  It also appears to be available on Itunes for download and for sale on her website.  Catherine is touring across Canada and at the moment, she is in British Columbia.  You can follow her music at  You can hear the song, House Of Love, on You Tube (  As always, you can hear this song and others that I blog about on Live 365 (  Thanks for reading and enjoy!
