Jason Mitchell is a singer songwriter from White Rock, British Columbia. He began writing poems and stories at first until he discovered the guitar and taught himself how to play it. He soon transformed his written words to song and began testing his chops on the local coffeehouse circuit. He was discovered by Warner Music and in 2000, released his debut album, The World Is Flat. He is a very strong vocalist and he has composed some wonderful tracks on his debut disc. Most notably, the album opener entitled, Shadowed. This particular release enabled Jason to tour the country in support of bands like Blue Rodeo, The Cowboy Junkies and 54-40. He would follow up his debut with his sophomore release in 2004, entitled, Little Coma. This particular album was released independently. In 2009, he released a single for the Winter Holidays, entitled, Christmas Lights. All of these releases are available for download on Itunes.
