"I could say love over and over and over . I could say baby, baby, baby 'til my tongue spirals out of my head . When there's no one looking over my shoulder . I like to write rock and roll but it doesn't always hang together. So what do I know or anyone know about love." The late Kate McGarrigle and her sister Anna hailed from Montreal. This track was off their 1982 release. The sisters began their recording careers in the early sixties and garnered a strong following of fans both at home and abroad. They were masters at the art of lyricism and were both multi-instrumentalists. On this particular release, Mark Knopfler (Dire Straits) added some guitar work while Kate's 9 year old son, Rufus Wainwright, is credited with contributing vocals! There is also a french cover of the Bob Seger song, You'll Accompany Me (Tu vas m'accompagner). It would be another 8 years before the sisters released another album. You can read more about their wonderful legacy at http://www.mcgarrigles.com/. This particular release is available on both Itunes and Amazon with extra bonus tracks. You can listen to the song, Over and Over, on You Tube ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R_mqt_q-7yg). Thanks for reading and enjoy!
