"And we danced, like a wave on the ocean, romanced. We were liars in love and we danced. Swept away for a moment by chance. And we danced and danced and danced." Sons of Maxwell were two brothers, Dave and Don Carroll from Timmins, Ontario. They relocated to Halifax and began singing and performing. They released their self titled debut in 1994 and have released 7 albums to date. The Neighbourhood was released in 1998 and featured a cover of the Hooters' hit, And We Danced. The original song was a top 20 hit for the American band back in 1985, on their platinum selling debut, Nervous Night. The brothers gave it a Celtic folk feel and I believe it was likely their only charting country single here in Canada. The band has been both a nominee and recipient of numerous East Coast Music awards. One of the brothers, Dave Carroll, would get a career boost from an incident involving his guitar while travelling on United Airlines. He voiced his displeasure through song and accompanying video on You Tube, about how he was being treated by the airline and became a web sensation. He even appeared on ABC's The View.
