Artist: Body Electric, Album: Body Electric, Song: All Through The Night

The Body Electric wasn't just the name of a great Rush tune from their album, Grace Under Pressure, but as well, the name of a rock band from Vancouver.  They were formed by musicians, Bob Buckley and David Sinclair, during the early eighties after their previous band, Straight Lines, disbanded.  The duo was nominated for Single Of The Year at the Junos in 1983 as members of the band, Straight Lines, along with peers, Toronto (see blog 9/22/10), Rush and Loverboy.  They lost out to the Payolas and their monster hit, Eyes Of A Stranger.  Undeterred, they enlisted the aid of ex-Trooper keyboardist, Frank Ludwig, and shopped their tunes around until they got a deal with Attic Records.  That led to Body Electric's self-titled debut in 1984.  The album got some major radio play in Canada and spawned numerous singles including this track, All Through The Night.  The band would release an EP as well as one last full length before disbanding in 1987.  Their debut was re-released by Unidisc in later years and is available for download on Itunes.  You can hear the song, All Through The Night, on You Tube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=85iXE5haJr0).  Thanks for reading and enjoy!
