Artist: SuperGarage, Album: Duct Tape EP, Song: Post Teen Crisis
SuperGarage are a rock band from Thorold, Ontario. They are Marco DiFelice, Mike Palermo, Rob Passero and Roger Habel Jr.. They take their name from an auto shop that they used to rehearse in and released their debut EP, Duct Tape, in 1996. It has some great pop punk classics on it including this track, Post Teen Crisis. The vocals on this track are reminiscent of the Kings Of Leon at times although in fairness, this band pre-dated the Kings by about 7 years. This was the launching board that led to their first of three full length releases in 1997. Their latest album was released in 2003. The band toured constantly and played shows with some of the biggest bands in alternative rock like Cracker, Soul Asylum, Hot Hot Heat and The Broken Social Scene. They appear to be still around but don't have any upcoming shows or news to pass along at this time. You can follow them at http://WWW.SUPERGARAGE.COM/. Duct Tape is not an easy album to find these days. At the time of this blog, there were used copies available on Ebay and Amazon trading between $6 and $20. You can purchase their other releases from Itunes. You can hear the song, Post Teen Crisis, on You Tube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t7eplWAYgmI). Thanks for reading and enjoy!
